Grass Carp is one of the commonly farmed fresh water fish. Its flesh is thick yet tender and delicately flavored. It is commonly steamed with pickled mustard green or for making quick soup. It is also a common ingredient for hot pot. Accredited Grass carps are mainly from Mai Po, Yuen Long.
