Fontina Cheese (Italy)
True fontina is produced in the region of Valle d'Aosta. The milk used to make it comes from cows which has a pleasant grassy, herby scent thanks to the aromatic herbs found in the area's pastures. The cheese is soft and buttery, and has a unique taste: beautifully sweet, balanced and inviting. Fantastic for eating sliced or as part of a cheese plate, yet equally superb melted, fontina is also a favourite in fondue, or as a partner for chicken and veal. There may be slight variation of +/-10% in product weight as it is prepared and cut by hand.
