Black fungi, also known as wood ear, cloud ear, Judas ear or tree ear, is a dark brown/black mushroom native to Asia and Pacific islands with humid climates. Commonly found in Asian cuisines, it is rich in iron and special plant collagen. Good for stir fry and serve as cold dish (often with ginger, garlic, chili and vinegar) in Chinese cuisines. Available year round.
