Common Rue has a strong aroma, some of the farmers would grow them as insect repellent. The direct translation of common rue in Chinese is 'Stinky Grass'. It is cultivated as a medicinal and culinary herb. It is usually used in Chinese sweet soup with mung beans and sea weed. For savoury dish, pair it with pork!
